The quickest way to start voting on proposals and have a say in the way PoSciDonDAO operates.

How to Participate in PoSciDonDAO Governance

Getting SCI Tokens

1. You need SCI tokens to participate in governance

2. If you don't have SCI tokens, you can acquire them on Uniswap.

   1. An extensive guide on how to buy SCI tokens can be found here.

3. Make sure to have some additional ETH in your wallet for transaction fees.

Initial Setup

1. Visit https://protocol.poscidondao.com/

2. Click "Log in" and select "Browser Wallet" to connect wallets like MetaMask or Phantom

3. Ensure your wallet is connected to the Base network

Locking SCI Tokens for Voting Power

1. Navigate to "Lock" under the "SCI TOKEN" section in the side menu

2. In the Locking interface:

   • Enter the amount of SCI tokens you want to lock

   • Note: Locked tokens cannot be transferred until unlocked

   • Higher number of tokens locked = More voting power

3. Complete two transactions:

   • First transaction: Approve the protocol to lock your tokens

   • Second transaction: Actually lock your tokens

4. Wait for both transactions to complete

5. Your voting power will be updated once the locking is confirmed

Getting Verified to Vote on Proposals

1. Go to https://silksecure.net/holonym/diff-wallet

2. Connect your wallet

3. Select either "Phone" or "Government ID"

4. Follow the steps to get verified and pay the fee (3-5 USD in ETH) to mint your Soulbound Token (SBT)

5. Send the transaction hash to our moderators and we will refund the paid fees as soon as possible

Voting on Proposals

1. Go to "DAO Operations" under the "GOVERNANCE" section

2. Browse active proposals:

   • Each proposal shows its status, voting period, and description

   • Filter existing proposals based on proposal type, status, contents, or index to your liking

   • Click on a proposal to view full details and to vote on that proposal

3. Review the proposal details:

   • Read the proposal description carefully!

   • View supporting documentation (if any)

4. Cast your vote:

   • Click "Vote"

   • Choose "For" or "Against"

   • Confirm your transaction

   • Wait for the transaction to complete

   • There will be a countdown for the time left to change your vote starting from your initial vote

Change your vote on a Proposal

1. Click "Change Vote" within the designated time period

2. Choose "For" or "Against"

3. Confirm your transaction

4. Wait for the transaction to complete

And that's it, you have officially voted!
