To participate in proposals, you will need to verify your address through Holonym's identity verification system. This system ensures fair voting by confirming each participant is a unique individual, preventing the manipulation of voting power through multiple wallets.
To prevent users from splitting tokens across multiple wallets to gain unfair advantages, the dApp requires proof of uniqueness. This is not equal to KYC in any way, shape or form. We will not have your data and neither will Holonym as they use zero-knowledge proofs to verify that you are a unique individual. More about the technology behind Holonym can be found .
You can verify your uniqueness through two methods:
Phone Verification
Quick and easy verification using your phone number
Available across multiple networks(Ethereum, Optimism, Avalanche, Aurora), but Optimism is recommended and you can pay the fees using ETH on Base
Government ID Verification
More robust verification using government-issued ID
Provides the same voting access as phone verification
Also available across multiple networks
⚠️ After obtaining your SBT, send the transaction hash to our moderators and we will refund the paid fees as soon as possible ⚠️
🔒 Privacy Protected: The verification process uses zero-knowledge proofs, meaning your personal information is never exposed
✅ One-Time Process: Once verified, you can participate in all future proposals
🌐 Cross-Network: Verification on any supported network (Ethereum, Optimism, Avalanche, Aurora) is valid
⚡ Instant Effect: Once verified, you can immediately participate in voting
Connect your wallet to the dApp
Click on "Vote" and click on the link to verify your uniqueness
You will be redirected to silksecure.net (also part of Holonym)
Choose your preferred verification method (phone or government ID)
Complete the verification process
Once verified, you can participate in voting proposals
Your voting power will be automatically calculated using the quadratic formula in the dApp
Remember: This verification system helps ensure that all voting remains fair and resistant to manipulation, maintaining the integrity of our community's decision-making process.
